Kitesurfari 2016

by Elliot Drury on May 27, 2016

It’s getting to crunch time for booking in your winter getaways. The best place to progress this winter is with Liquid Force international team rider and Kitepower coach, Elliot Drury at the Australian Kite Surfari. Located in Far North Queensland, 5 hours north of Cairns, this pristine camp is the picture of what a kitesurfing vacation should be.

On this trip you’ll get the three key fundamentals to improving your kiteboarding: flat water, steady wind, and professional level coaching. The camp is just secluded enough to offer privacy and avoid crowds. It also provides strong wind along with gorgeous tidal lagoons to progress in. Last year we had wind every day of the trip ranging from 15-30 knots.

On top of all of the amazing kiting that you’ll get to do, the camp is surprisingly comfortable to stay at. When I first thought about heading up there I was a bit cautious despite all of the good feedback I had heard. When I finally got there, I was blown away to say the least. The beds are comfy, the meals are amazing, Ant and Paulie take incredible care of you, and there are adorable animals to hang with (yes, there’s a pig-!) You’ll enjoy having a beer by the bonfire at the end of a big day of kiting and I promise you will not be up past 11pm - you’ll be gassed!

The trip is taking place from July 10-15th. Please contact elliot@kitepower.com.au with any questions.
