Australia Post Express will take 1-3 business days, usually 1 day if the delivery address is within the next day guarantee area
Australia Post Parcel Post takes 3-5 business days to most other areas of Australia.
Courier - we use various courier brands and choose the least costly with the speediest service and typically take 3-5 business days. (remote areas like NW Australia, NT and Northern QLD can take a couple of days longer)
Shipping Terms
By accessing, browsing or purchasing from kitepower.com.au you signify your acceptance of the following (and reasonable) shipping & returns policy:
- In most cases, goods are delivered to residents in Australia by Australia Post. Items valued at over $100 are sent by Registered Post or Courier - which will require a signature on delivery (so someone needs to be at the shipping address to sign during normal business hours).
- We offer free shipping on orders valued over $200 (a signature is required). Items longer than 1m or heavier than 10kg may need to be sent via a Courier, and cannot be sent to a PO Box. We will contact you if this is the case, and you will need to provide a daytime address where someone can sign for the goods upon delivery.
- If you return an item that was shipped for free and because you changed you mind, we will deduct a reasonable shipping fee from the refund for the item you returned.
- Shipping times are estimates and NOT guaranteed unless a premium overnight service is purchased, this will need to be arranged over the phone or via e-mail if you need something by a specific date. *Free Shipping excludes certain large items, like surfboards wing/sup foil boards and large bulky items like travel bags.
Shipping to Remote locations:
If you purchase a bulky item* and are located in a remote location we will most likely contact you via phone or email to settle on a shipping fee.
In general, if the shipping fee comes out to be more than 10% (full price) or 5% (sale price) of the value of the order we will ask you to pay the difference.
Eg.
- For full priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $10 for shipping.
- For sale priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $35 for shipping.
*defined as having a packing length longer than 105cm and/or heavier than 2kgs.
Refunds
We will charge a fee (which is simply the non refundable fee charged to Kitepower by the credit card processor) if you use the the payment link on our invoices. The fee is 2.5% of the sale amount and will be deducted from your refund. This condition ONLY applies to payments made through the link on our invoices.
If you purchase directly from our website and pay via the website there will be no refund fee, and the same applies to PayPal payments as neither of these payment gateways charge non refundable fees on payments.

The overall design tweaks in the V5 have further refined what was already a very popular and highly accessible freeride board.

This is a board for everyone – for intermediates, but also our pro team, who often choose it over the Torque in more demanding or choppy conditions.
CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
The Code V5 is made with a hybrid biax fibreglass and UD carbon layup, with extra carbon reinforcements in the centre of the deck, which now provide more stiffness and a faster response.
This strong but lightweight construction delivers ideal flex at the tips and increased response from the centre of the board. This combination is designed to help you perform with high levels of control in all freeride conditions.
The medium flex and rocker provide excellent absorption for hard and fast landings, which allows you to ride with more confidence and positivity.
The hull design features a double concave blending into tri-spine channels at the tips for added grip and upwind edging.
The performance freeride outline provides excellent carving abilities with ultra smooth drive in choppy conditions.
Swallow shaped tips allow a strong edge hold without the feeling of being locked on a rail, while increasing stability and control.

SHOULD YOU CHOOSE THE CODE OR THE TORQUE?
Our Code and Torque twin-tips are both designed to provide very high-performance but, like all our products, are designed to be as accessible as possible, too.
Any rider of intermediate level and upwards could get on them and have a great time from their first runs onboard.
The choice comes down to feel and style.
CODE VS TORQUE
CODE V5 - LOOSE & LIVELY
While also capable of sensational speed, the Code is tuned to provide a more friendly and loose riding feel. With narrower tips and a softer flex, it will feel easier in more challenging conditions.
More forgiving in heavier seas, it’s less tiring on the legs when you’re powered up and trying to negotiate lots of chop. This is a big benefit for intermediates, but also delivers for advanced riders who want easy control during fast take-offs from big ocean kickers in strong winds.
TORQUE V5 - LOCK & LOAD
The Torque is stiffer throughout and has a wider outline in the tips. More of its rail engages with the water any moment, so feels more locked-in and has a more powerful feeling grip.
While it is more of a racey ride, it still has plenty of modern playfulness to offer. It’s just more geared towards riders who prioritise grip over looseness.
