Wind gusts up to 50 knots without losing your edge? No problem for the Slingshot Formula. The Slingshot Formula V3 delivers incredible grip in the most rugged conditions. The Formula is slightly stiffer, which brings an explosive pop and a playful feel to the kiteboard. Thanks to the medium rocker, the Formula easily goes upwind, allowing you to ride over chop with speed without losing control. Slingshot has crafted the new Formula V3 from only the best and most technical materials to extract the best possible performance from the kiteboard. The lightweight is achieved through the carbon construction, using a 30/30 mix of carbon. The Formula delivers explosive pop from tip to tip thanks to this construction while keeping the weight minimal (2.1kg for a 136!) and is packaged in a strong package. The core is made from sustainably grown Paulownia wood, giving the Formula V3 its lively and playful feel. The wooden core also provides extra strength, durability, and consistent flex for maximum comfort. The tips are slightly milled down, saving a lot of weight, while the tips remain very strong thanks to the carbon construction. The bottom features a double concave along the entire length of the kiteboard, making the Formula incredibly smooth. Upon landing, the concave breaks the water surface, resulting in a soft landing.
The base (bottom) of the Slingshot Formula V3 is covered with 0.2 mm base material for extra strength while keeping the weight low. The rails are literally pushed into the core of the kiteboard in one go, ensuring durability and additional dampening properties. The inserts are special 'carbon bedrock inserts,' which are not only super strong but also lightweight.
