Shipping & Returns

By accessing, browsing or purchasing from kitepower.com.au you signify your acceptance of the following (and reasonable) shipping & returns policy:

  • In most cases, goods are delivered to residents in Australia by Australia Post. Items valued at over $100 are sent by Registered Post or Courier - which will require a signature on delivery (so someone needs to be at the shipping address to sign during normal business hours).
  • We offer free shipping on orders valued over $200 (a signature is required). Items longer than 1m or heavier than 10kg may need to be sent via a Courier, and cannot be sent to a PO Box. We will contact you if this is the case, and you will need to provide a daytime address where someone can sign for the goods upon delivery.
  • If you return an item that was shipped for free and because you changed you mind, we will deduct a reasonable shipping fee from the refund for the item you returned.

*Free Shipping excludes certain large items, like surfboards wing/sup foil boards and large bulky items like travel bags.

Shipping to Remote locations:

If you purchase a bulky item* and are located in a remote location we will most likely contact you via phone or email to settle on a shipping fee.

In general, if the shipping fee comes out to be more than 10% (full price) or 5% (sale price) of the value of the order we will ask you to pay the difference.

Eg.

  • For full priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $10 for shipping.
  • For sale priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $35 for shipping.

*defined as having a packing length longer than 105cm and/or heavier than 2kgs.

Refunds

We will charge a fee (which is simply the non refundable fee charged to Kitepower by the credit card processor) if you use the the payment link on our invoices. The fee is 2.5% of the sale amount and will be deducted from your refund. This condition ONLY applies to payments made through the link on our invoices.

If you purchase directly from our website and pay via the website there will be no refund fee, and the same applies to PayPal payments as neither of these payment gateways charge non refundable fees on payments.

Description

The AXIS Progressive rear wings are all-round wings for intermediate and advanced riders and can be paired with Axis HPS, ART, BSC and PNG wings. Mostly flat but with a very subtle downturn, these wings combine excellent speed with sensational turning.

We got super hooked on the locked in, fast, stable feel of the AXIS Speed 380/60 and 420/60 rear wings, and still are for flat water blasting and racing for winging and big, fast waves for foil surfing. But we had a feeling we still had more to give our riders in the turning department. After several iterations and tweaks, the new Progressive 350/63, 375/64, 400/65, 425/66, 450/67 and 475/68 rear wings have delivered it in spades.

Medium aspect, with a thin foil section and subtle turned down tips, the Progressive design rolls into the turn beautifully, feels fluid and loose, and also grips through the carve and transitions back out the other side with predictable control and positive acceleration. Even intermediate foilers will notice the difference straight away. It’s super well behaved in rough winging conditions (just set and forget) and with the thin foil section it’s still rewardingly quick. The Progressive rear wings will feel like a natural extension of your feet.

Riders are finding the Progressive rears pair beautifully with our ART and HPS high-aspect front wings, and they’ll work very well with any foil for riders looking to improve their turns and carves.

As always, size your Progressive rear wing to your experience and front wing size (larger sizes for less experienced riders and larger front wing pairings).

New smaller sizes:

The AXIS Progressive 250/56, 275/58 and 300/61 rear wings are performance wings for advanced riders. They excel in tow, prone, SUP, and wing foiling, ideally paired with higher-performance front wings such as HPS, ART and PNG wings.

The main characteristics of these new smaller Progressive rears are much higher speeds due to lower drag, yet they retain control and can be pushed to perform in extreme situations.

Our team riders are raving about how well-balanced and confidence-inspiring the new small Progressive wings are. The speed, control, turning ability, and grip for their size are incredible. There is however a small penalty to pump ability as size decreases.

So how do you use these new sizes?
James Casey's go-to for prone in most conditions is the 275/58, while for Downwinding he prefers the 300/61. The 300/61 Progressive turns brilliantly, but has the added benefit of more pump-ability and predictability. If he has to contend with a fast mid-sized wave day, then the 250/56 is the one.

Our wing-foiling team has been blown away by these small progressives paired with even the largest of the ART range, improving the turning performance of these larger wings and boosting speed significantly.

These new Progressives look tiny, but the higher speeds that you achieve with them mean greater stabilising forces that don't come at the expense of maneuverability.
