The Noah Flegel (NF) Pro Board was designed in partnership with world-class wake and tow foiling champion and Armstrong Team Rider, Noah Flegel. The goal for NF Pro was to capture his experience and invaluable input to make the perfect quiver killer quiver board for high-performance wake and tow foiling. He worked closely with Armstrong founder, lead designer, and full-time frother, Armie Armstrong, to best understand how to purposefully meld our SURF and WKT MK II board into one go-to board for wake and tow foiling. The added benefit of leveraging the shape and volume distribution of the SURF board for wake and/or tow foiling is that the NF Pro takes the guesswork out of getting the board up and out of the water.

Noah Flegel wanted to purposefully meld our SURF and WKT MK II board into one go-to board for wake and tow foiling. He wanted something that would be the best of both and would help to further push what’s possible, whether for tricks, jumps, or full-force cranking turns in juicy surf. The shape of the NF Pro is primarily based on our SURF, but with sharper rear chines and a squash tail for super hard carving, pronounced double concave bottom for powerful pop and seamless release, and purposeful volume distribution for easy takeoff and jump recovery. The NF Pro’s bottom shape is critical to getting the most out of performing tricks and jumps with maximum height relative to speed. The double concave at the nose transitions to a flat mid-section with an aggressive squash tail for efficient flow and reduced drag. The reduced thickness, in comparison to our SURF, provides shorter distance to the foil without any compromise to weight or structural integrity. The added benefit of leveraging the shape and volume distribution of the SURF board for wake and/or tow foiling is that the NF Pro takes the guesswork out of getting the board up and out of the water. It’s the board to help beginner riders who are getting into wake and/or tow foiling to maximize time getting onto foil, and intermediates and advanced riders alike who want to travel the world to rip behind boats or get towed into waves – all with one board.

Our industry-leading i-beam Dual Carbon Stringer System, which locks in place our in-house carbon fiber foil track box and runs across through the midway point of the board and up through to the deck, provides meaningful structural rigidity to the foil track box and board overall, significantly improves responsiveness across all axes (pitch, yaw, and roll), and enhances torque input into mast and foil. The NF Pro is kept as thin as possible to shorten rider distance to the foil without any compromise to weight or structural integrity. The Armstrong deckpad has been developed to get the most of out of translating rider input directly into board and foil control. The EVA foam features micro-cutouts throughout the main two-thirds of the deck for confidence-inspiring grippiness for strapless riding. The rear-thirds of the deck features a full width surf-style kickpad with guiding markings for foil track placement and diamond traction bumps for full-force cranking turns. Holes in the deckpad are laser-cut for easy access to footstrap inserts.

The NF Pro is built around a foam core, wrapped with an incredibly stiff double-skin carbon fiber and PVC sandwich. Our i-beam Dual Carbon Stringer System locks in place our in-house carbon fiber foil track box and runs across through the midway point of the board and up through to the deck. The NF Pro features additional carbon fiber layering strategically placed around the foil track box and primary weight-bearing zones on deck for added impact-resistance and overall durability, as well as additional PVC layering around nose, tail, and rails to help prevent dings.
