Kiteschool is shutting down for the winter

by Kitepower Australia on May 16, 2017

It's that time of year again, and if you haven't signed up for one of our winter holiday weeks then it might be time to bring out the steamer for the next couple of months and brace yourself for some very cold westerly winds.

Unfortunately kiting in winter is one of those things best left to those with a bit of experience under their belts. Winds can change very quickly in winter as well as be gusty and really quite cold. These conditions make it very hard to effectively teach someone to kitesurf in the beginning.

Because of this our Kiteschool will shut down on the 15th of May but will re open for lessons on the 15th of September.

In the mean time if you're keen to get into kiting and cant possibly wait until september to get a kite in the air have a look at purchasing a Trainer Kite. Trainer kites are a great way to learn your basic flying skills so that when spring comes around you can jump straight into lessons.

Saying goodbye to Dolls Point for another winter
