The FR twintip is Cardboards freeride model, designed to excel in a wide range of conditions. It is the perfect choice for everyday riding, giving a comfortable fast ride without compromising performance. The Cardboards Freeride is best suited to intermediate to advanced riders looking for an all-round board. Like all the boards in the Cardboards range, it's base construction is Paulownia timber core with special bits like Triaxial laminate and unidirectional carbon fibre for flex control in the FR model.
In 2012, the FR has been refined to make it one of the standout boards on our racks. Weighing in at a measly 3.7kg's the FR is one of the lighest boards out there, largely due to the fact it's choc-a-block full of carbon! Combine that with the thinnest board tips we've ever seen at 2.5mm, and Cardboards all new pad and strap system that feel like like a pair of fluffy slippers - you've got yourself one heck of a good board!
For the unbeatable price, all Cardboards come with a 3 year breakage warrantee - how sweet is that! You can even get them custom made in any graphic option you can dream up. Simply give us a call and we can organise it all for you.
Available in three sizes, choose the 131cm for riders up to 70kg's, the short outline and deep channels make this incredibly good for freeriding, but exceptional at freestyle or big boosts.
For riders 65-85kg's, go for the 136cm. If you could only ride one board for the rest of your life - the 136 FR would be it. Big boosts, freestyle, wave slashing - it's got it all.
For the bigger guys - the 141cm has been described by one of our customers as "an extension of his feet" - it's really that good. Specially layered reinforcments and carbon strips keep the board bending in all the right places, not like a noodle between your feet. It's not too heavy for the nuking days, and will still get you going in the low teen's.
